deeprelay skill install
Install the skill into your coding agents' config
Install the skill into your coding agents' config
Synopsis
Writes the deeprelay.ai skill for the selected agents. With --agent auto (the default), installs for each agent whose config directory already exists (~/.claude, ~/.codex, ~/.config/opencode) so no unused directories are created; pass --agent explicitly to force one, or --agent all for all three.
Per-agent behavior:
- claude — writes a directory:
~/.claude/skills/deeprelay/SKILL.mdplusreferences/account.md,references/inference.md, andreferences/troubleshooting.mdbeside it. Claude Code picks the skill up on its next start. Re-runninginstalloverwritesSKILL.mdand replaces the whole managedreferences/set, so a reference file that an older CLI shipped is removed rather than left behind as stale guidance; thedeeprelay/directory itself and anything else you put there is left alone. - opencode — writes the same directory layout to OpenCode's global skills directory,
~/.config/opencode/skills/deeprelay/($XDG_CONFIG_HOME/opencode/skills/deeprelay/whenXDG_CONFIG_HOMEis set). OpenCode also reads~/.claude/skills/, so with both installed it finds the same skill twice; the two copies are identical, so either one is the same skill. - codex — maintains a managed block (between
BEGIN deeprelay skill/END deeprelay skillmarkers) in~/.codex/AGENTS.md. The block holds the skill body first, then reference content, and is kept under a size budget (24 KiB — headroom under Codex's own instruction-file limit, in a file you also write in), so the operating rules can never end up in a truncated tail. If the references would overrun the budget they are dropped from the end — troubleshooting first — and the body is always kept; with today's content the block carries the body and all three references. Rundeeprelay skill show --agent codexto see exactly what yours contains. Reinstalling replaces the block in place; anything you've written around it is left untouched. If one marker has been hand-deleted, the command errors instead of guessing.
Upgrading from an older CLI. Earlier versions installed a skill that described a product deeprelay no longer offers. When you install for Claude Code or OpenCode (both read ~/.claude/skills/), install removes that old skill's SKILL.md and the reference files it shipped, and reports each file it removed; a file you added to that directory yourself is kept. For Codex, the old managed block in AGENTS.md is replaced in place by the current one, so the file never carries both.
Runs before deeprelay login — no authentication required.
