Remove a saved payment method

Synopsis

Removes a saved payment method. Removing a UPI ID revokes its UPI AutoPay mandate (and any older mandate on the same UPI ID).

It is refused while a payment on the method is still processing; try again once it completes (UPI debits take about 24 hours).

If your plan renews on the method, or auto-pay charges it, the first attempt changes nothing. It lists the saved methods you can move to and asks you to choose:

Your plan renews on this payment method. Move it to another method, or cancel the plan at the end of the paid period.

Move the plan to one of these with --move-plan-to <id>:
  pm_1Q2w3E4r5T6y  Mastercard •••• 4444
Or cancel the plan at the end of the paid period (Nov 5, 2026) with --cancel-plan.
Error: nothing was changed

Flag	Effect
--move-plan-to	the plan renews on that method from now on
--cancel-plan	the plan ends at the close of the paid period; nothing more is charged, and deeprelay billing resume undoes it until then
--move-auto-pay-to	auto-pay charges that method from now on
--disable-auto-pay	auto-pay is turned off

A plan is never cancelled because a card was removed unless you pass --cancel-plan.
