View and change the low-balance threshold and alert emails

Synopsis

View and change your organization's alert settings: the low-balance threshold and which alert emails go out. deeprelay emails you before a balance, plan allowance, key budget or member limit runs out, so a stopped workload is never the first sign.

There are four kinds of alert:

AlertWhen it firesWho gets the email
Low balanceYour balance drops below your threshold ($5.00 unless you change it)Org admins
Plan allowance80% and 100% of any plan allowance (monthly or weekly, input or output)Org admins
Key budgets80% and 100% of a key's monthly budgetOrg admins and the key's creator
Member spend80%, 95% and 100% of a member's spending limitOrg admins and the member

The threshold is the only number you set. The percent steps are fixed. Each alert sends one email per crossing. It sends again only after the value resets or falls back below the line.

Every email is on by default. Turning one off stops the email to org admins (and to a key's creator) for that kind. The member always receives their own limit emails. Turning off Member spend does not stop those.

Anyone in the organization can read the settings. Changing them requires an org admin, or a full_access key. That is the same rule as deeprelay spend-limit; keys:manage is not enough. The same settings appear in the dashboard under Settings → Alerts.

Webhook events for these alerts are configured separately, with deeprelay webhooks.
